Below you can find an outline of requirements, packaging instructions, and testing information for building out 1-click application installers in Installatron. For applications that are not compatible with a Shared Hosting LAMP stack, please consider custom applications for the Reclaim Cloud Marketplace.
The primary requirement for a custom installer using Installatron is that the software be compatible with shared hosting servers and the scripting limitations that exist there. For that reason applications utilizing a traditional LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) will be the primary audience for such an installer.
Packages for an application should include all possible dependencies that might not exist on the hosting server itself for a broad range of compatibility. All vendor dependencies should be built into the package itself instead of utilizing third party package managers.
The quickest way to create an Installatron installer, as described from Installatron’s documentation.
Installatron provides an editor interface at installatron.com/editor to assist with building the necessary package formats.
Please note that you will need to sign up for an Installatron account but that can be done for free at installatron.com/login.
To test an application you will need access to a cPanel/WHM server with root access. Additional instructions are found in the Publisher tab of the Installatron Editor Interface.
If you would like to run a development cPanel server at Reclaim Hosting for this purpose, please contact us.
