Founded in 2013, Reclaim Hosting set out to make web hosting tools easy to work with in a classroom setting. Position Overview

Title: Hosting Account Manager
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Starting Salary Range: $60k – $65k/year
Work Location: Fully Remote; must reside in the United States to receive full benefits listed below. Candidates living outside of the US would be paid as a Contractor.

This is not a typical “sales” position. In fact, we don’t like to think of ourselves as Sales-anything. Instead, Reclaim Hosting employees are teachers, consultants, and advocates that aim to help educators work towards the best possible hosting solution, and then support them once they have it. As a Reclaim Hosting Account Manager you will not have a sales quota and you will not make a commission. You will work directly with existing and potential customers to sell, onboard, and support Reclaim Hosting products and services. This position is highly collaborative, and you will work cross functionally in both Sales and Support departments.

Hiring preference will be given to previous or current administrators of Domain of One’s Own or WordPress Multisite initiatives. 

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • Technical support experience and understanding of:
    • cPanel, WHM, and WHMCS environments
    • Common applications used in educational environments (examples: WordPress, Omeka, Scalar, CBOX, PressBooks)
    • Domain of One’s Own and WordPress Multisite 
    • Reclaim Cloud or similar containerized hosting environments
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience within or supporting Higher Education communities is preferred
  • Solid experience with CRM software (Zendesk Sell) is preferred

Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales – Work with the rest of the team to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new opportunities for growth. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs in the form of regular correspondence, invoicing, and keeping client tools and resources organized and up to date. 

Onboarding & Training – Expected to be well-versed in technical Reclaim Hosting products and services in order to answer questions and give trainings and presentations to existing and potential customers. This can come in the form of email correspondence, support tickets, documentation, virtual meetings, or virtual/in-person workshops.

Customer Advocacy & Support – Responsible for acknowledging the needs of Reclaim Hosting customers and coordinating with internal teams to facilitate the best possible solution. Assist and own with challenging client requests or issue escalations via support ticket or consultative meetings. 

Exploration – Reclaim Hosting encourages employees to spend a portion of their time towards the exploration of their own passions and interests. This may mean playing with new software, blogging about cool things that interest you, or something else entirely.
